The “F” family

Last Saturday I had a family photography session with the “F” family.  What a fun family to work with!  The “F” family is just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and we hit it right off.  Reggie & Kristi met at Baylor University (just like my husband and I did).  Their daughters names are Hannah and Rachel — our daughter’s name is Hannah Rachel.  Kristi is a preacher’s kid, I am a preacher’s kid.  Kristi is working on obtaining her teaching certification for secondary education, I am certified as a 6-12 teacher.  Rachel is interested in photography, I am . . . well you get it.

Okay, on to the pictures!

Rachel & Hannah both plan to attend Baylor - sic ‘em bears!!!

“F” family, I enjoyed getting to know you guys last weekend.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you!

Typical Friday

With a toddler & preschooler at home, my house is always a disaster!  They pull out toys & books faster than we can put them away.  Thankfully, my housekeeper came today!  Since the kids are taking naps right now, my house might actually be clean for the next hour or two.

Since my house will be probably have toys strewn all over it by the time Brian arrives home, I decided to take a quick picture to show that from approximately 2:00 - 2:02 pm, the house was actually clean (it won’t last long)!

Look, quick–no toys!

We try to stay out of Emelda’s way when she is cleaning our home.  Today we went to Mae-Mae’s (Grandma’s) house then met with Brian for lunch in Odessa.  By the time we got home, both kids were asking for their night time stories.

Sam went right to sleep - he did not even take the time to lay down straight.  OUCH!

Of course Hannah has her own unique sleeping habits.  Hannah likes to gather up all of her things for naptime & night.  Her “friends” fill her entire bed–good thing there are rails on the sides to keep everything from falling off.

Laura & Josh

When Laura moved to Virginia to work at an orphan adoption agency, Josh (an energetic employee) helped her move into her new apartment.  They immediately hit it off and a relationship soon developed.  Josh & Laura are an amazing couple. They love to travel and are interested in mission work.  Josh has actually worshiped at a church in Uganda that my own church (Christ Church Midland) is involved with!

This is such a fun couple to work with.  They were cracking up throughout the shoot!

Laura & Josh, I am looking forward to your wedding in January!

Catching up

It has been over a week since my last blog post - yikes!

Right now I am working on a mother/daughter session, a model shoot, a family session, a newborn, and a 9-month old baby.

In the meantime, here are a few pictures that I have not shared yet . . .

I saw this while I was driving around the other day and I had to pull over and snap a picture.

Tamra & Daryl

Tamra and Daryl are a wonderful couple.  I have had the opportunity to get to know them over the last few months and they are a strong, dedicated couple.  They both have hearts of gold and I look forward to working with them during their May 2009 wedding.
