Brittany & Shane: engagement portraits
Okay - y’all know that I fall for sweet stories. Brittany and Shane grew up in Midland and have known each other since their 7th grade year at Midland Christian. They headed off for Lubbock Christian University “just as friends.” However, during a night out together with mutual friends, Brittany & Shane realized that their friendship had grown to more than that–they secretly had crushes on each other. After dating for a while, Shane asked Brittany to marry him! Their wedding will be held in October at the CEED building in Midland. I’m looking forward to celebrating with you guys!
Brittany & Bubba: We did
Brittany and Bubba were married in April at First Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. A few weeks ago, Brittany contacted me requesting a post-wedding photography session in downtown Midland. She wanted a laid-back, fun session with a hint of artistic urban edge. I absolutely love the results!

Bekah’s bridal portraits
Remember Bekah from her engagement portrait session with Tad a few weeks ago? Bekah and I met on Friday evening for her bridal portraits. She brought one of her bridesmaids along for assistance and we got to snapping! I am looking forward to Bekah’s wedding at Claydesta in August. She and Tad are an amazing couple and I am incredibly excited for them.
One of the things that I most enjoy about working with brides and photographing weddings is the blessing of sharing in the excitement and joy of a couple as they start out in life together. At our shoot, Bekah was telling me about the apartment that she and Tad found to live in after their wedding. They are excited to move in and get everything set up and in place. They should have plenty of stuff to fill it with too–Bekah has been quite busy with bridal showers!
Kendra’s bridal portraits
Remember Kendra from Andrews, Texas? Her wedding was held in Lubbock a few weeks ago (see pics here). We were planning to shoot her bridal portraits a few weeks before the wedding but had some scheduling difficulties. Her dress had to be altered and was not ready until just a few days before the ceremony. Last week after coming home from a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and putting the stress of the wedding behind her, Kendra and I met up to shoot her bridal portraits in a trash-the-dress style of shoot (although we were trying to not trash her dress).
If Kendra were not an absolute sweetheart, I would have to hate her for being so gorgeous!
I love boots in bridal portraits!
Taking a break from our portrait session to love on her puppies . . .
