Morgan’s dance pictures
Morgan is a teenager at our church as well as the daughter of our friends, Mark and Brenna. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Earlier this year, Morgan had the standard group dance pictures taken but she wanted more custom, individual dance photographs taken that were not the basic studio-type of shots. Since Morgan is an active teenager who studies hard and is involved in ballet, clubs, activities, and church, we waited until after school was out to schedule the shoot. We squeezed this photography shoot in between an art class and her trip to Washington D.C. for a leadership conference.
Morgan, I enjoyed working with you and I hope you are having a great time in D.C.!
Full schedule (it’s wedding season)
With the mad rush to get everyone’s orders for Father’s Day photographs placed, I have fallen a bit behind on my picture editing and have more emails to answer than I can count. If you are waiting on a response from me, I will be with you shortly, I promise! For those of you who placed Father’s Day picture orders, they will be here on Friday.
I’m almost finished editing this family’s session from last week. Sorry for the delay, guys! (I just had to post the second picture–it totally cracks me up!)
The rest of this week summer will be hectic as well–after all, this is wedding season! Today I met with a bride (wedding date 6/6/09), then I am shooting a wedding this weekend, I have a senior shoot and a family session next week, then an engagement session next weekend followed by a “trash the dress” session (similar to a bridal session), followed by more weddings. If you would like to book a session, please contact me ASAP. I only have two time slots remaining that are available before July 23rd.
A weekend of celebrations
This weekend there were parties throughout Midland. High school seniors across the city were celebrating graduation. Every family that I met with in the past few days seems to be related to one of the graduating seniors.
In my own family, my mom celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Happy Birthday, Mom!
The people in my photography sessions this weekend were all celebrating special occasions too. The weekend started on Friday evening with a surprise 50th birthday party for Bill. It was a great party with fun entertainment!
On Saturday, I took Mason’s first birthday portraits with cake and balloons.
On Sunday afternoon, I was able to photograph a family’s celebration of new life as they welcomed home newborn baby Brooklyn.
The celebrations continue today as I shoot 9-month portraits for baby Will.
Tomorrow I have a commercial shoot in Eunice New Mexico. Tomorrow’s shoot will NOT be a celebration. I am shooting from 12-8 pm in 106 degree heat wearing steel-toed boots and the required flame-retardant jumpsuit. Sounds like fun, huh?
