Everyone has been asking me how the commercial shoot from last week went. Yes, it was 108 degrees in Eunice, NM but I drank tons of water and made it through the day. The team from company that I was working for (Insituform & United Pipeline Service) was wonderful. The advertising & communication specialist from Missouri flew in for the event. He and the safety supervisor from Durango, CO showed me around for the day and pointed out what items they needed photographed. This was a major project for both the company and it will end up being a case study for them. These photographs will be used on their website, in marketing materials, tradeshow booth graphics, pamphlets, etc.
Insituform has a product called “Titeliner” that lines existing (host) pipes with HDPE. The titeliner first goes through a rollerbox which compresses it and enables it to fit inside of the host pipe.
It is then pulled through the host pipe and is cut off at the other end.
Even though it was extremely hot, I enjoyed the day. Commercial photography provides an interesting creative outlet that is different from my regular weddings and portrait sessions. I love variety!
