Okay . . . so I am extremely behind on blogging. Yes, I do feel guilty about it. I have sessions going all the way back to January that should really be on here. There are some amazing portrait shoots (and WEDDINGS) that I would love to share but it’s a time-management thing. The kids are home for the summer and life is hectic.

Anyway . . . since I have a moment and CAN blog here is one of my recent sessions!!

Last weekend I met with Jill, a senior at Midland Christian School. Jill & her mom followed me around Midland as we hit several spots for her senior pictures. Jill is such a sweet girl - I really enjoyed getting to know her. Jill, I hope you have a great senior year!

Over the past year I have had the opportunity to watch Miss Brooklyn grow from a newborn baby to a toddling one-year-old. Brooklyn is always a joy to work with - we have enjoyed regular photo sessions every few months (you can see one of her pictures from our last session on the header of this blog - she is the one in the tutu). I cannot believe that this beautiful little girl is already one! Happy birthday Brooklyn!

Are those rain clouds? (Note: these were taken just before sunset this evening)

My son, Samuel must have heard my camera click because right after I took that shot, he climbed into his window to take a peek out.

We prayed for rain in church on Sunday and received rain that afternoon - lets continue our prayers!

One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to Boston’s Museum of the Fine Arts. I spent Mother’s Day looking at some of the world’s most famous pieces of art.

The murals on the ceiling at the museum were painted by Sargent, one of my favorite artists who is primarily known for his landscapes. Boston’s public library is absolutely gorgeous. If Midland had a library that looked like this, I would probably buy fewer books on Amazon! (I am currently trudging my way through Ulysses - it is a tedious read).

Across from Boston’s public library in the downtown area, we visited Trinity Church which was founded in 1733.

We then headed to the North End for dinner.

Boston has some wonderful parks which are of course full of history. Here are some photos from the Public Garden in Boston, adjacent to the Boston Common.

This is also the park in the book “Make Way for Ducklings.”

The Charles River divides the cities of Boston & Cambridge. Once on the water, you can catch some breathtaking views of the cities.

Mike will only be in Boston through July of 2010 & we are hoping to make one more trip up there before he leaves. We had a great time - thanks for being such a great host & tourguide Mike!
