Yesterday I had a session with Madison and McKenzie. I always enjoy my children’s photography sessions but when children are as excited for a shoot as these girls were, it makes my work easy. In preparation for taking their photographs, they got pedicures. The girls put on some great smiles at our shoot so afterwards their mommy treated them to ice cream. Madison and McKenzie, I had fun with you and look forward to next time!

This weekend there were parties throughout Midland. High school seniors across the city were celebrating graduation. Every family that I met with in the past few days seems to be related to one of the graduating seniors.
In my own family, my mom celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Happy Birthday, Mom!
The people in my photography sessions this weekend were all celebrating special occasions too. The weekend started on Friday evening with a surprise 50th birthday party for Bill. It was a great party with fun entertainment!
On Saturday, I took Mason’s first birthday portraits with cake and balloons.
On Sunday afternoon, I was able to photograph a family’s celebration of new life as they welcomed home newborn baby Brooklyn.
The celebrations continue today as I shoot 9-month portraits for baby Will.
Tomorrow I have a commercial shoot in Eunice New Mexico. Tomorrow’s shoot will NOT be a celebration. I am shooting from 12-8 pm in 106 degree heat wearing steel-toed boots and the required flame-retardant jumpsuit. Sounds like fun, huh?
Today I got to play with baby Will. We had a picnic at the park & watched Will laugh hysterically as Katie tickled him. I can’t get over Will’s blue eyes–aren’t they gorgeous?!? Get ready to see more of Mr. Will. I’m scheduled to do several shoots for him in the upcoming months including his 9-month portraits, a shoot with his parents & extended family, and his one-year-old birthday pictures.
