Baby Brooklyn’s family portraits

Remember Baby Brooklyn’s newborn portraits? Her family loved the pictures from that session and drove in from Canyon, Texas to have their photographs taken.

Brooklyn was joined by her parents, aunt and uncle, cousins, and grandparents for this portrait shoot. We met at the Museum of the Southwest here in Midland and enjoyed a relaxing session. The whole family had fun at this session then went out afterwards for ice cream to visit and celebrate.

The “F” children were absolutely wonderful to work with!

This expression on Baby Brooklyn’s face totally cracks me up!

Fun family session

The “B” family is spread out across the nation. They all came together in their hometown of Midland, Texas last weekend and wanted to have some family photographs taken. I love working with fun families–this group was up for anything despite Texas’ hot mid-day temperatures!

Isn’t this baby absolutely adorable? He was putting on quite a show as he tried to figure out why his proud grandparents, aunt and uncle were making silly faces at him. Check out Mr. Personality below!

Which are your children?

Since I have so many photographs of children on my website, people often ask “which ones are your kids?” I really need to make an effort to share more pictures of my own family here on my little ‘ol blog. (And maybe one of these days I will even get around to posting my own profile pic/mugshot on here).

Hannah is three years old and is crazy about Elmo. She went to Nemo on Ice, reads her Nemo books daily, loves to watch the DVD, and has several stuffed animals, coloring books, shirts, etc. that feature the little orange guy. These pictures were taken last night after bath time when we were getting tucked in for bed.

Sam is 18 months. He enjoys exploring, getting into cabinets, laughing at his big sister’s antics and eating. These snapshots were taken this morning at breakfast time.

Children and family

Last Thursday I met with the Hopper/Hardy family for a children & family session. This extended family came together for a photography session so that they could get some updated pictures of their own children as well as a picture with all of the cousins together. These children were cracking me up the whole time–they are a lively group who are fun to interact with!

I am also looking forward to working with Cory Hardy (6th picture down) for a commercial photography shoot in the near future. He owns a company that inspects commercial vehicles and they have requested some professional images for their website and advertising.

Summertime bare feet

Yesterday I had a session with Madison and McKenzie. I always enjoy my children’s photography sessions but when children are as excited for a shoot as these girls were, it makes my work easy. In preparation for taking their photographs, they got pedicures. The girls put on some great smiles at our shoot so afterwards their mommy treated them to ice cream. Madison and McKenzie, I had fun with you and look forward to next time!
