The “F” family

Last Saturday I had a family photography session with the “F” family.  What a fun family to work with!  The “F” family is just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and we hit it right off.  Reggie & Kristi met at Baylor University (just like my husband and I did).  Their daughters names are Hannah and Rachel — our daughter’s name is Hannah Rachel.  Kristi is a preacher’s kid, I am a preacher’s kid.  Kristi is working on obtaining her teaching certification for secondary education, I am certified as a 6-12 teacher.  Rachel is interested in photography, I am . . . well you get it.

Okay, on to the pictures!

Rachel & Hannah both plan to attend Baylor - sic ‘em bears!!!

“F” family, I enjoyed getting to know you guys last weekend.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you!

Catching up

It has been over a week since my last blog post - yikes!

Right now I am working on a mother/daughter session, a model shoot, a family session, a newborn, and a 9-month old baby.

In the meantime, here are a few pictures that I have not shared yet . . .

I saw this while I was driving around the other day and I had to pull over and snap a picture.

Thank you Sergeant Aisner

A few weeks ago, Mrs. Aisner contacted me to take their family’s portrait.  She knew that her son would be home from Afghanistan for a few days and wanted to get their pictures made together while he was in Midland.

Sergeant Aisner is serving a 15 month tour in Afghanistan.  He already served a tour in Iraq where he was injured in an IED blast. He definitely has an angel or two sitting on his shoulder. If you see the humvee he was driving, you can’t conceive how he wasn’t killed. His left leg and right hand are the only locations that still show the scars and he doesn’t have complete sensation in them.

As you can imagine, Sgt Aisner’s family is very thankful and proud of him.

Amy’s senior portraits

Amy and I met up last week to take her senior portraits.  Amy’s mom and boyfriend joined us for the session.  Of course I made her boyfriend jump in on a couple of the pictures (see last image).  I love it when seniors bring a friend to their session–I love capturing genuine laughter and it is easy to do when friends are around.

Is it just me or does Amy look a lot like Christina Applegate?

Here is one of the pictures of Amy & her boyfriend . . . aren’t they so cute together?

More baby Brooklyn!

Remember baby Brooklyn? She’s baaaaack!
